THE DREAM. If you were to ask me how I came into my place in photographer, I would have to say lets go through the boxes and boxes of albums of 35mm photos my father developed through the years. Then I'll show you his collection of film cameras. Growing up I've always found it interesting to how life can be seen through the eye of a lens. Even as a teenager, amongst friends, I was the one to carry the camera. I guess it was the love of being able to document life, a way of story telling what was going on. Not simply just a point and shoot, hey I took a picture of you, but capturing the essence of what is really going on. It's the art of writing, translating, and conversation wrapped into a single image. One photo to speak a thousand words.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER. For the last decade of my life I've been attempting to find my place and what I can do to leave my mark in this world. I try my best to find my place as a photographer and as a human-being and though there are a limitless amount of facts I can tell you about myself, I am a photographer because of my passion for photography and the visual arts. I'm self taught in all I do, from photography to my designs. I believe real art is a talent and not something that can be learned or taught. Art is the expression of what you feel inside and your ability to bring what's in out. Photography is my way of seeing you differently than how others may see physically.
I do all of my own photoshop effects, but I am not a wizard. I will do the best work for you that I am capable of because my name is attached. I take great pride, as any artist or model should, in the satisfaction to be had from potentially having my work shown to millions of people. Photography is art like any other artistic medium and with every shoot I challenge myself to grow as an artist. Photography is not a job or any sort of work for me, but rather is one of the many hobbies that allows me to express myself artistically.
PLACES. One of my favorite places to be is among people who inspire and challenge me. Artists, performers, dancers, and all others of the sort are amazing and passionate people and I wouldn't change my career path for any other. I try to create a space in which artists are free to reveal aspects of themselves which aren't normally share with others. I am particularly interested in people with complicated yet fascinating histories. I believe there are a lot of good people in this world to meet. We're all after the same thing in one form or another. In the past years of being a photographer I've met many interesting people, sharing many stories and laughs, and forming wonderful bonds of friendships.
It's about being able to see life and reality in a different light and not how everyone else sees it is a passion of mine. It's what sets me apart from those cookie-cutter people who see things for what they are. For me life is a mystery of which it's up to us to find not only it's meaning but it's significance to our purpose for being here. To see what's inside and not out or see what's beyond the outside in.
THE COMPANY. We are a unique and creative multi-venue photography studio as inspired by our resident photographer WPagan. Flexibility and friendliness are the most important part of what we do. Our goal is to produce the best photography experience for our clients through careful planning, skillful photographic talents, the use of technology and face to face communication. Our package consists of everything we feel is important to the majority of clients, the time they need, interaction with proof preview and selection, a large quantity of frames taken, and an option of an personal online account.
APPROACH. There is nothing far worse than showing up to a photoshoot and feeling uncomfortalbe, tense, and having no sense of preparidness whatsoever. That why It is very important that a model and his/her photographer establish a comfortable and pleasing environment and relationship in order to receive the best and optimal number of frames during a shoot. To do this we meet with our models days before the shoot and gather as much information about their photographic ideas, personal history as a model, goals for the shoot, final outcomes, and purposes of the final products all to create a better understand and stress free work environment for both the model and photographer.
Every photoshoot is very unique in its experience and methodlogy. It is through that experince that we are able to grow and educate other upcoming models in successfully taking powerful and creative photos. From time to time we open our doors and provide TFP/TFCD services to models wishing to develop their portfolios and gain further experience in modeling. These shoots are developed not only to gain experience posing and modeling before a photographer but also to observe other models and their performances in their shoot.
Passion, originality, determination, creativity and a strong work ethic are important to me. I love to help, mentor and teach people as I myself was taught and get great reward from this, so I am keen to meet like-minded people. Life is an ever learning process that we all benefit from. That is why art can never be old. Artists are constantly reinventing themselves, ever learning new means of which to express themselves differently. Defying the old and challenging themselves to create art never seen before. |
